A line is a human idea
one more of the conventions that we all believe in
We call it f a c t s -
And in my world facts are
another human word for constructs that we don’t question.
. . .
I wonder
if we are exploring
If we venture out to the edges of our understanding and our beliefs
devoid of a set journey or a set path
I believe in taking the wrong turns
the ones you don’t know were wrong until
t i m e
lets you know.
I let my heart take the wheel
I
often re-route
And
I w o n d e r
If we are creating our own words
our own meaning
designing our language
And
Our own worlds.
I carry a l i n e on my right arm
A choice of my own
to be reminded
A n d
When I look out to the horizon I can see one too
then I remind myself that this line
and the one on my arm
Are just part of my current perception.
Forgive my lack of understanding
I am on a journey
my own journey
