Prime X Strung represents Adidas' first commercial application of STRUNG technology. Working closely with Sport Science and Engineering teams, we set out to create a high-performance shoe for long distance running. The challenge was twofold: introduce groundbreaking technology while meeting elite performance standards.

Through deep consumer research, extensive prototyping, and data-driven development, we optimized the technology specifically for long-distance runners' needs. Our cross-functional collaboration leveraged new technological capabilities to address previously unsolved insights, resulting in footwear that not only performs better but feels radically different.

The validation came in November 2022 when Patrick Lange set the fastest Ironman marathon time of 2:30:32 wearing Prime X Strung, validating our vision of creating new technology that can have real impact in humans and athletes.
